Terms & Conditions
Last updated: January 2025
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Karü website and your purchase of goods from Karü. By placing an order or using this site, you agree to these terms. These terms are subject to the laws of New Zealand.
1. Application
These terms apply to all orders placed through karu.com (and any related domains) and to all visitors to the site. Karü operates from New Zealand. The Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 apply to consumer transactions in New Zealand, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under those Acts where you are a “consumer” as defined there.
2. Orders and contract
When you place an order, you make an offer to purchase the goods on these terms. A contract is formed when we accept your order (for example by confirming payment or dispatching the goods). We may refuse or cancel an order (e.g. for stock, pricing, or fraud reasons) and will notify you and refund any payment already made.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) unless stated otherwise and include GST where applicable. You must pay the full amount at checkout. We accept payment by the methods shown at checkout (e.g. card via Stripe). You are responsible for providing correct payment details.
4. Consumer guarantees (New Zealand)
If you are a consumer under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, our goods come with guarantees that they are of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match their description. If goods fail to meet a guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy (repair, replacement, or refund). Our returns and refunds policy is set out on our Refunds & Returns page and operates in addition to your statutory rights.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from any order (including delay, non-delivery, or defective goods) is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant goods. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under New Zealand law (including under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993).
6. Intellectual property
All content on this site (text, images, logos, design) is owned by Karü or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.
7. Privacy
Your use of the site and any order is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes and jurisdiction
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always on this page. Continued use of the site or placement of orders after changes constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the courts of New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
